Mi nah stop shout about this artist. He is one of the most consistent and versatile artists right now. Sings, deejay (raps) and combines the two depending on the riddim. Always with a conscious message.
He proclaims "No boy can't give me no gun to buss like they don't have a finger too" - which if you don't get it means he will not let a gang leader get him to kill anyone when they're capable of doing it themselves. You can bookmark it in an anti-gun tune.
This features on the Don Corleon produced Broken Hearts riddim. Other fave cuts include Professor, Wayne Marshall, Pressure, Richie Spice. Generally a solid riddim.

Bit of a crass title, but don't let that take away from the message in the song is good. Chris encourages youths to "Buss a Juice/ Get a youth/ Nuh take life, make life."
Pioneer ft. Egypt - Stronger
"In The Morning" is still one of those tracks that I'm annoyed didn't chart in the top 40 UK singles. I'm not sure if this one is of that caliber, but who cares? The song is big.
Got that '90s soulful house vibe with Egypt producing an anthem. Really good quality song I think music lovers of all ages will appreciate.

I hear these songs in the clubs, but because I rarely understand any of the lyrics I don't know names or anything. There's a particular song I'm after, so I'm just sourcing all the bait songs in clubs until I find it. Anyway, I stumbled across this one yesterday. Don't go and tell me "Oh, this is old" I know it's old. Cha man.
Some African's don't call this afrobeats because it isn't like Fela and the back in the days songs. One of my best bredrins is Ghanaian, he hates these songs. Only one he like is Olaje. But this is such a sweet delicate tune. Makes me wanna ask for a front-to-front danss wid a fine byootiful gehl. Ah ah! Eh heh!
Oh yeah, I had a random thought yesterday. America has drug rap by the likes of Young Jeezy and Rick Ross, so I wondered "Does Nigeria have a 419 (fraud) equivalent?" Well, I tweeted "Hip hop has drug rap, does Nigeria have rap about ballin' off sending emails + other 419 scams? English speaking"." My twitter people them told me "Yahooze". Once again, I don't care if I'm late on it. I'm a British-born Jamaican. Mi nuh follow dem ting deh. Oh.
