FlashBack Friday: CLASSIC Cartoon theme tunes

For those unfamiliar with FlashBack Friday's (click for previous episodes), it's a post I do as many Friday's as I can. It's the post that I always enjoy doing because whatever I do brings a smile to my face. Can only hope it does the same for you :) It's a 90s baby free zone more time I'm afraid. Apart from my teenhood stuff, you get jook (Jamaican phrase for "unlucky pal"). And today is probably one of those posts. But you can read if you like (obviously)

I would have liked to continue my TeenHood Crush FlashBack Friday, but Flintstones is 50 years old today! #RandomFact This was my favourite cartoon as a youngster

Over the past couple of days old cartoon theme tunes come into my head. So in line with that, I'm going to share the classic retro cartoon theme tunes. Some of the theme tunes were so good I remember them, but couldn't tell you whether I enjoyed watching the show. This goes out to my crew who woke up before Live & Kicking. In the time prior to SM:TV Live. Emma Forbes and Andi Peters time. 081-811-8181 time, (not 0181). Win a NES/SNES with the gun and Duck Shooter game time

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is up there in my favourite cartoons of all time. Michaelangelo being my favourite. Had the game on the GameBoy and all sorts. Can't embed the opening titles so click here

Another favourite of mine, Inspector Gadget

I don't care, I'd actually put these tunes on my iPod for a frustrating day. I could post bait ones like Pink Panther, but that's like EXTRA bait and isn't that fun or cheesy. It's actually quite cool. I prefer these ones as they are much more retro:

Chipmunks

Ducktales

Chip 'N' Dale: Rescue Rangers

Pinky and the Brain

Animaniacs

Captain Planet ending was much better than the opening

Talespin

p.s. Cos I'm such a badman, I just clocked that someone used the Flinstones melody in dancehall

Marvin Sparks x Raekwon interview

Wu-Tang's in-house "Chef" better known as Raekwon proved he is still a force to be mentioned alongside the hottest rappers in the hip hop game with the release of Only Built For Cuban Linx... pt. Remember When Riddims Were King

Before you read, thank you for your interest and hope you enjoy. I actually fleshed it out into a book. You can get your copy from www.nolongstories.com   Now for what you came here for... When Riddims Were King 23rd May 2020 will be remembered in history for one of the most epic events in one of our universe's darkest times. We will never forget the night dancehall kings and former extremely heated rivals, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer, battled on the Verzuz platform built by hall-of-fame producers, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. An unfiltered, 360-degree view on Jamaican dancehall events was showcased; DJ’s and dancing (Beenie Man’s daughter Desha Ravers) to deejay’s clashing on the same riddims. The latter elements provided the jewels in the night’s highlight reel, and undoubtedly the best thing to happen on the Verzuz series. Word spread like guava jelly within the dancehall community and Jamaican diaspora upon announcement. Not only was it a clash between the longest and fier...
